Research Assistant (60-80%)
Join the University Hospital Zurich and University of Zurich in cutting-edge cancer research. Our lab in the Department of Medical Oncology and Hematology focuses on hematopoietic stem cells and tumor biology. You will work on translational projects using advanced molecular, genomic, and immunological techniques, analyzing primary patient samples, and contributing to therapies with real clinical impact. Be part of a dynamic, interdisciplinary team bridging basic science and patient care.Your responsibilities
- Perform in vivo studies, including xenograft and preclinical models.
- Execute in vitro experiments using cell line and patient-derived models.
- Train and mentor new lab members in experimental techniques and lab protocols.
- Monitor and manage laboratory inventory, ensuring efficient workflow.
Your profile
We are looking for a motivated research professional with a degree (BSc or MSc) in biology or a related biomedical field, or previous experience as a research assistant. Significant experience with in vivo studies in mice, including an LTK1 certification, is required. Hands-on experience with flow cytometry, cell culture, and molecular biology is highly valued.
The successful candidate is highly organized, reliable, and adaptable, with strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, interdisciplinary team. Proficiency in English is required.
