Your Responsibilities

  • Conduct in vivo studies in rodent models using advanced microsurgical techniques
  • Design and implement experimental protocols related to therapeutic interventions
  • Analyze and interpret data; contribute to scientific publications and grant applications
  • Coordinate with internal and external collaborators

Your profile

  • PhD in Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field
  • Strong hands-on experience with rodent surgery and in vivo experimental models
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Highly motivated, self-driven, and well-organized
  • A proactive mindset with a passion for translational research

The Department of Plastic Surgery and Hand Surgery at the University Hospital Zurich is engaged in cutting-edge translational research combining fine surgical techniques and targeted drug therapies to address complex medical challenges. Our focus areas include, but are not limited to:
  • Lymphatic Biology and Lymphatic Surgery incl. Neurological Disease
  • Facial paralysis
  • Diabetic wound healing
We work in close collaboration with clinical experts, academic partners, and industry to develop innovative treatments that bridge the gap between laboratory science and clinical care.
