Postdoc in translational and clinical sarcoidosis research 80-100%
This Postdoc position is related to immunological and data-driven research, focusing on sarcoidosis within our Sarcoidosis Center of Excellence. The research will focus on the development and evaluation of new diagnostic tools, as well as the assessment of novel therapies for patients. The project is part of our ongoing work with a large cohort of patients with sarcoidosis, where our main focus is improving patient outcomes, as well as developing tools for outcome prediction.Your main tasks
- Your main responsibility will be to drive and execute ongoing and planned studies, integrating data analysis with laboratory work for developing and evaluating novel diagnostic assays
- You will collaborate closely with our clinical and laboratory teams, as well as with the research and development departments of external assay providers
- Additionally, you will contribute to prospective treatment trials in sarcoidosis patients, like leverage machine learning or artificial intelligence, to improve outcome prediction in sarcoidosis patients
Your profile
- You have a PhD in life sciences with a strong background in immunology and data analysis (preferably using R and/or Python)
- You also have experience in large dataset analysis, as well as familiarity with machine learning and outcome prediction tools
- You are interested in participating in a translational, collaborative research environment that bridges university-based clinical research, industry-driven assay development and hospital-based clinical diagnostics
- Fluency in German is a plus
